3:5. (ఏలీ తనను పిలిచాడని అనుకొని) సమూయేలు ఏలీ వద్దకు పరుగున పోయాడు. “మీరు పిలిచారుగా అందుకే, వచ్చాను” అన్నాడు. “నేను నిన్ను పిలవలేదు. పోయి పడుకో” అన్నాడు ఏలీ. సమూయేలు పోయి పడుకున్నాడు.

3:5. ఏలీదగ్గరకు పోయినీవు నన్ను పిలిచితివి గదా నేను వచ్చినాననెను. అతడునేను పిలువలేదు, పోయి పండుకొమ్మని చెప్పగా అతడు పోయి పండుకొనెను.

3:5. Then he ran to Eli and said, "Here I am, for you called me." But Eli said, "I didn't call you. Go back and lie down." So he went back and lay down.

3:5. He got up and ran to Eli. "Here I am. Did you call me?" "I didn't call you," Eli replied. "Go back to bed." So he did.

3:5. And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou calledst me. And he said, I called not; lie down again. And he went and lay down.

3:5. Samuel thought Eli was calling him, so he ran to Eli and said, "Here I am. You called me." But Eli said, "I didn't call you. Go back to bed." So Samuel went back to bed.

3:5. He ran to Eli, and said, Here am I; for you called me. He said, I didn\'t call; lie down again. He went and lay down.
